Dubai extends exemption of suspended customs duty cases for 60 days

Dubai Customs has extended the suspension of customs duties for goods in transit, temporarily admitted, or intended for re-export to a total of 180 days. This policy is a major boon for industrial equipment buyers and distributors using Dubai as a regional hub. It provides an additional two-month window to manage inventories and project timelines without incurring the immediate financial burden of customs duties on machinery that is not yet permanently deployed.

This extension significantly improves cash flow for procurement departments involved in large-scale assembly or re-export of industrial machinery. It also allows for greater flexibility in handling equipment that may be awaiting final destination clearance or site readiness in neighboring markets, reinforcing Dubai's position as a strategically efficient trade gateway for the industrial sector.
