Taqa’s net income jumps 9.7% in H1 2026, announces 0.8 fils dividend for Q2

Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) has recorded a 9.7% increase in net income for the first half of 2026, reaching Dh4.1 billion. This growth was driven by higher returns from its transmission and generation business lines. For industrial equipment buyers, Taqa's sustained profitability indicates continued capital expenditure on utility-scale infrastructure, including power grids and water desalination projects.

Procurement managers can expect a steady pipeline of tenders for electrical transformers, high-voltage cables, and advanced power generation components. As Taqa reinforces its transmission networks, there is a clear strategic focus on upgrading legacy systems with more efficient, modern industrial machinery. This creates a favorable environment for suppliers of smart grid technology and heavy-duty electrical components to align with Taqa’s long-term expansion goals.
